International Activities during 1998 International Contacts with : ASIA : Japan: JSA (Japan Secretaries Association)President : Ai Ishikawa - April 98 made a speech during the Secretaries International Day – São Paulo South Corea: EHWA (University of the Woman) – meeting in August 98 during the 53rd International Convention and Education Forum in Atlanta – USA . Exchange of information about university curriculum. Thailand: ASA (Asian Secretaries Association) President : Sukanya Nahaminda – sent an invitation to FENASSEC to participate in the 13th International Congress of Asia in Bangkok in September 98.
AFRICA: South Africa: PSA ( Professional Secretaries Association of South Africa) President: Joan Kotze – meeting in August 98 during the 53rd International Convention and Education Forum in Atlanta – USA – Discussion about the change of names in the profession – PSA maintains the name : secretary. Mozambique: ASSEMO (Associação de Secretárias de Moçambique) President : Rabia Vagly participated of the XI CONSEC in November 98 – Bahia. Gabon – FENASSEC was invited to make the speech during the dedication of the National Secretaries Association – April 98 Angola – FENASSEC was invited to make the speech during the dedication of the National Secretaries Association - March 98 EUROPE : Spain: FENAS President : Elisa Del Pino – conversation about the decisions taken during the 3rd International Summit in South Africa in June 97. Portugal: ASP Presidente : Isabel Menezes – conversation about the decisions taken during the 3rd International Summit in South Africa in June 97 and invitation to participate of the XVII Encontro Nacional de Secretárias Portuguesas – After the Event the president sent the summary of this meeting. England: IQPS (Institute of Qualified Secretaries) invited FENASSEC to participate in their International Meeting in October 98.
NORTH AMERICA : USA: IAAP ™ (International Association of Administrative Professionals) International Convention and Education Forum in Atlanta : FENASSEC participated representing Brazil and voting. – August 98. CENTRAL AMERICA : Costa Rica: FIAS President 97-98:Norma Naranjo.FENASSEC participated of their International Meeting – February 98. The result was the proposal to change their bylaws in order to permit FENASSEC to participate of their meetings. This proposal was approved by FIAS board of directors during their following meeting in Uruguay. SOUTH AMERICA : Uruguay: FENASSEC participated of FIAS International Convention in May 98 when the proposal to change the bylaws was approved. Chile: FENASSEC received an invitation to participate of the V International Congress of Executive Secretaries of Chile in June 98.
